Key Responsibilities:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for designing and executing efficient procurement strategies to support smooth business operations. This includes sourcing goods and services in a timely, cost-effective manner while ensuring quality and availability. A major part of the role involves building and maintaining strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and consistently monitoring supplier performance.
The role requires close coordination with inventory, warehouse, and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding both excess inventory and shortages. The candidate will oversee the complete order cycle—right from placing orders and tracking shipments to ensuring timely delivery in line with operational requirements.
Key responsibilities also include identifying and onboarding reliable vendors, evaluating bids, and conducting detailed product sourcing. All procurement activities must adhere to company policies and compliance standards, with accurate documentation and record-keeping.
The role demands active collaboration with Production, Finance, and Logistics departments to align procurement activities with broader organizational goals. Regular market research to stay updated on new products, trends, and potential suppliers is essential.
Qualifications & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., in procurement or supply chain) is an added advantage.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within the manufacturing or technology sectors. Strong negotiation and communication skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency in MS Office and procurement tools are essential
