Job Description
  1. Inspect castings (raw & machined) for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, shrinkage, blowholes, cracks, and other casting defects.
  2. Review and interpret engineering drawings, casting drawings, and process sheets.
  3. Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of cast components as per quality standards.
  4. Perform material testing, hardness testing, and coordinate NDT (UT, MPI, DP) where required.
  5. Monitor casting processes such as sand preparation, moulding, core making, melting, pouring, fettling, and heat treatment.
  6. Identify defects, analyze root causes, and suggest corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  7. Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and rejection analysis.
  8. Collaborate with production, pattern shop, machining, and dispatch teams to ensure quality compliance.
  9. Assist in process improvements and implementation of quality standards (ISO/TS/Foundry standards).
  10. Support customer inspections, audits, and technical communication regarding casting quality.
