Job Description
  1. Operate Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines for turning, facing, boring, and finishing operations.
  2. Set up machines, load workpieces, and arrange fixtures as per job specifications.
  3. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
  4. Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tolerance compliance.
  5. Adjust machine parameters, feeds, and speeds for optimal machining performance.
  6. Inspect machined components using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Dial Gauges, Height Gauges, etc.
  7. Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning, including coolant and tool checks.
  8. Maintain production and inspection records, report machine errors, and document quality issues.
  9. Follow safety protocols and maintain 5S in the work area.
  10. Collaborate with production planning, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure timely production.
