Job Description
  1. Perform visual and dimensional inspection of castings
  2. Check cast components as per drawings, standards, and specifications
  3. Identify defects such as porosity, shrinkage, cracks, blowholes, inclusions, misruns, cold shuts, etc.
  4. Carry out in-process and final inspection
  5. Use measurement tools: Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge
  6. Conduct hardness testing and coordinate for NDT tests
  7. Inspect patterns, moulds, and cores for defects
  8. Maintain quality documents, inspection reports, NCRs, rejection logs
  9. Ensure compliance with ISO/QMS/5S standards
  10. Report deviations to supervisors and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  11. Coordinate with Foundry, Production, and QA teams
  12. Monitor and maintain calibration of measuring instruments
