Job Description
  1. Program VMC (Vertical Machining Center) and HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) machines for new development parts and prototypes
  2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
  3. Use CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, GibbsCAM) to generate programs
  4. Select cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures based on material and machining requirements
  5. Simulate machining operations to verify tool paths and avoid collisions
  6. Optimize programs for cycle time, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy
  7. Coordinate with design/R&D teams for new product development
  8. Conduct first piece inspection (FAI/FPI) and adjust programs as required
  9. Document CNC programs, revisions, and standard operating procedures
  10. Monitor and troubleshoot machining issues in VMC/HMC machines
